RAIN HARVESTING? WHY?
Our ancestors used rain harvesting systems in the past, Why? Because they were not as fortunate as ourselves to have water availability at the turn of a tap. Today we take water availability for granted, is this because our government of the day has removed water rates. The strange thing one might consider is at present water meters are been installed nationwide is this gearing up towards charging for water relevant to your usage? A thought that probably makes the hair stand on the back of your necks nevertheless I fear that this will be the reality in the not to distant future. On foot on this I hope to introduce you to Rain Harvesting.
A rain harvesting system provides water saving solutions for both residential and commercial properties. This rainwater is then used for toilet flushing, washing machines and garden watering – thus saving up to 60% of your water requirements.
How it works?
It simply collects rainwater from the roof, filters out leaves, debris and ay other particles. This water is then stored in an underground tank, before been pumped back to the property for use in all requirements that do not require purified water.
Benefits of rain harvesting
